We often work with real estate agents because although they can sell the property, they sometimes do not wish to get involved with negotiating the short sales with the lenders.
There are often two mortgages and there can be a lot of complications. We, as realtors assist with a short sale on behalf of a homeowner client. And likewise, real estate agents will seek out our team in order to help them.
Both the real estate agent and our firm get paid often from a HUD-1 at closing. We will submit our bill for our consultation fees and the escrow agent will pay us and will pay the Realtor.
